The mission of Interfaith Refugee and Immigration Ministries, in partnership with congregations, organizations, and others in Illinois, is to provide direct services to refugees and immigrants and to encourage involvement in world and domestic refugee issues and immigration concerns.

Interfaith Refugee and Immigration Ministries
On a daily basis, refugees and immigrants are quietly making progress throughout the Chicago region. Behind each statistic is a human face: a Rwandan child who excels in school, a Somali father of four who is promoted on the job, or an Assyrian grandmother who proudly becomes a citizen.
For those facing special challenges, IRIM is there to lend a hand:
Showing a Sudanese refugee how to cook on her new stove.
Providing outreach services to a lonely, elderly Romanian woman in a distant suburb.
Recruiting a volunteer tutor to help a 1st grade boy from Togo adjust to the Chicago Public Schools.
